Topic - Amazon India Fashion Week 2015.

The most historic event in the Indian fashion scene came alive as people witnessed an event that is perhaps going to change the way people associate themselves with fashion. FDCI (Fashion Design Council of India) in alliance with Amazon India presented the Amazon India Fashion week 2015.

A new epoch for designers in India is all set with this event of Amazon India Fashion week which was a brilliant blend of new designs, models, choreography and ideas. “Fashion” which was meant only for the elite, perhaps a decade before, is now made available for all kinds of customers who have a distinct taste in fashion, yet the reach was lacking.

According to some designers, there is a good demand for designer clothes and is now well accepted and appreciated by all segments of the society – be it a Mehndi, Sangeet, the wedding reception or even while tying the holy knot.

The event highlighted the collections of various designers from across India who would also get a chance to sell their products online through Amazon. With the number of online shoppers increasing by the day, designers like Tarun Tahiliani feel that fashion would be now accessible even in smaller towns. Selling designer stuff online also reduces the chances of duplicate or imitation of the original as it is certified pure by Amazon and it restores the belief of the customers in the designer products.

This event focused on bridging the gap between the fashion availability in cities and the towns. Selling the exclusive products online helps the designers to tackle to problem of penetration and serving each kind of market demands.

The grand sizzling event was spread across five days at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. The 25th edition of the India Fashion Week showcased the various new talents and their creativity. An event of a kind which concluded with 50 brilliant designs by the 25 star designers of India including Tarun Tahiliani, Sabyasachi,  Rohit Bal and Manish Malhotra who came together to put up an unforgettable and a historic  fashion show. The show comprised of a blend of Indo-Western clothes showcasing the gradual variation of different shades of reds.

The audience was swept off by their feet and could not stop themselves from giving a standing ovation to all the Star designers who walked down the ramp as the show concluded.
