Dressing up like a Diva on your Wedding:

Every girl’s dream is to look like a Princess on the most memorable day that she has been waiting for all her life. Dressing up like your favorite celebrity is now a dream come true. Plan your make-up and your wedding dress well in advance, discuss with your beautician and make-up artist on what kind of look is he/she going to create for you.

Choosing the right dress:
If your wedding celebrations include a Cocktail or a Sangeet ceremony, a Mehndi ceremony, the Wedding ceremony and the Reception party, then choose your look accordingly.
1)       For your Cocktail or a Sangeet ceremony:

It is a time where the brides-to-be can enjoy and dance without any hassle. A designer Lehenga Choli in white or cream accentuated with a red Dupatta enhances your look. Neatly tied up hair adorned with mesmerizing flowers makes your style complete with heavy jewelry and a smoky-eyed make-up.

2)       For your Mehndi ceremony:

Mehndi ceremony is a very close-knit affair with your friends and family.  It requires the bride-to-be to be dressed in comfortable clothes, either an exquisitely designed Salwar-Kameez or a simple yet elegant Ghagra-Choli. Colors can range from Vermilion to Chestnut to Psychedelic Purple to Razzmatazz. Keeping the jewelry to a minimum is advisable. Flower lovers can be creative and get customized flower jewelry for this auspicious occasion.

3)       For your Wedding ceremony:

Stick to your traditional styles for your wedding event. Be it a Kanjeevaram Saree or an authentic Punjabi Kameez and Patiala or perfect handiwork of Zardosi for a Sharara dress. You can always include the latest trends/designs into your traditional clothes by investing in a good designer. Colors usually preferred are the different shades of Reds and green. Choose your jewelry in Diamonds, Gold, Silver or Kundan matching your Wedding dress.  Make sure that the make-up is good enough that you can carry throughout the wedding ceremony is complete. The hair looks divine when tied up into a long plait or into a bun and delicately bejeweled or decorated with flowers.

4)       For your Reception Party:
The reception party concludes all the wedding events. The Bride and the Groom greet the friends and family as a new couple. Choose your own style for this function, but make sure that clothes of the Bride and the groom complement each other. A Shervani for the groom paired with a beautiful Lehenga for the bride or a monochrome Saree dress for the bride preferably in colors – Gold or silver and a formal dress for the groom – preferred in the color black.

Your wedding is one of those extraordinary, unforgettable events that must be celebrated in the most glorious and traditional way with oodles of style, but with a pinch of simplicity.
