Topic - Amazon India Fashion Week 2015.

The most historic event in the Indian fashion scene came alive as people witnessed an event that is perhaps going to change the way people associate themselves with fashion. FDCI (Fashion Design Council of India) in alliance with Amazon India presented the Amazon India Fashion week 2015.

A new epoch for designers in India is all set with this event of Amazon India Fashion week which was a brilliant blend of new designs, models, choreography and ideas. “Fashion” which was meant only for the elite, perhaps a decade before, is now made available for all kinds of customers who have a distinct taste in fashion, yet the reach was lacking.

According to some designers, there is a good demand for designer clothes and is now well accepted and appreciated by all segments of the society – be it a Mehndi, Sangeet, the wedding reception or even while tying the holy knot.

The event highlighted the collections of various designers from across India who would also get a chance to sell their products online through Amazon. With the number of online shoppers increasing by the day, designers like Tarun Tahiliani feel that fashion would be now accessible even in smaller towns. Selling designer stuff online also reduces the chances of duplicate or imitation of the original as it is certified pure by Amazon and it restores the belief of the customers in the designer products.

This event focused on bridging the gap between the fashion availability in cities and the towns. Selling the exclusive products online helps the designers to tackle to problem of penetration and serving each kind of market demands.

The grand sizzling event was spread across five days at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi. The 25th edition of the India Fashion Week showcased the various new talents and their creativity. An event of a kind which concluded with 50 brilliant designs by the 25 star designers of India including Tarun Tahiliani, Sabyasachi,  Rohit Bal and Manish Malhotra who came together to put up an unforgettable and a historic  fashion show. The show comprised of a blend of Indo-Western clothes showcasing the gradual variation of different shades of reds.

The audience was swept off by their feet and could not stop themselves from giving a standing ovation to all the Star designers who walked down the ramp as the show concluded.

Welcome to glorious world of Indian Cinema which is the birthplace of those stunning stars that we consider to be our ideals. It is an inspiration to millions of fans worldwide to follow the footsteps of their superstars and join films and hands with the Giant Film Industry.

The Indian cinema has seen many wonderful stars that joined the industry as something else, but ended up becoming “someone” else! Ranked twice as the world’s sexiest woman by the Indian edition of FHM and one of the highest paid actresses in Bollywood, Deepika Padukone has had a very long journey since she started her career in the Kannada movie – Aishwarya (2006). From a shy, simple girl to becoming to most desired woman in Bollywood, thanks to all the bundle of never ending talent – a good combo of dance and seasoned acting skills have done the trick for her.

Talking about talented actors and I cannot forget to mention Priyanka Chopra in this list. Born to a Physician couple in the Indian Army, at Jamshedpur, this girl has won it all. A girl with ordinary looks, but a great zeal of energy clubbed with the right mix of intelligence and beauty! She first stepped into the film industry after she won the Miss World Pageant in 2000. In a minute, the world changed for her. It has been a hard life for her, full of struggles and commitments. Who can deny the fact that she has also won the National Film Award for Best Actress?

For an actor who openly admits of his stammering and that he went through a speech therapy to speak fluently, success was not an easy sail through! From an actor to a stage performer to a playback singer to a brand endorser, Hrithik Roshan has played them all. His unique dance style and flexible body, the face chiseled like a Greek God, Hrithik has come a long way from the little boy who was once teased at school due to his stammering habit.

When we talk about Bollywood, how can I forget the great Kapoor family which has produced generations of actor and actresses in the industry? This star kid actor who is from the fourth generation of the Kapoor khandaan entered the film industry and while everybody had great expectations from him. His unique acting skills and the art of romancing left everybody dumbstruck with “Rockstar” and “Barfii”. Be it his comedy timing or a serious life of a deaf-mute man, this Kapoor has struck all the right chords.

This is an endless list as there are enormous examples of such talented people in Bollywood. Stars are also humans. They are normal people like you and me and they live our dream and we see these dreams through their eyes. Each actor or an actress has travelled along journey to reach the point at which they are today. Everybody has weaknesses, but only the smart ones put behind their weaknesses and put forward their best self and that’s the kind of star we all look forward to admire!!
